Koroni market vegetables and garden produce

Locally grown vegetables are in abundance and very cheap during Summer months. PeppersĀ  and aubergines 1 euro a kilo in Koroni market on Sunday, so Pete has made some delicious preserved vegetables in our olive oil. It’s lovely to have vegetables of different shapes and sizes, curled up peppers and baby aubergines and wonderful freshly picked okra.

Our own garden is giving us plenty of different greens, chard and pak choi, chinese broccoli and kale and 4 different basil, yellow tomatoes, red burgundy and green okra, aubergines and peppers, figs and eagle claw grapes and our first goji berries. Here’s our meal for tonight.
